She has focused on in-depth science reporting throughout her career and has been recognized by National Academies of Sciences and the American Association for the Advancement of Science. Prior to joining ProPublica, she managed video for a public media environmental reporting partnership at Seattle’s PBS station, where her investigation into the illegal exportation of electronic waste helped uncover the largest e-recycling fraud in U.S. history.
