Claim your profileFor the last seven-and-a-half years, from May 2016 until November 2023, I was lucky enough to work with a fantastic team at The China Project (née SupChina), after our incredibly selfless and dedicated founder Anla Cheng acquired the Sinica Podcast. I left my former position as Director of International Communications at the Chinese search giant Baidu, and threw myself into podcasting full-time. I gathered a whole network of podcasts: Tallying up all those podcasts that came into and out of our network, there were really quite a few in addition to Sinica, there was the Caixin-Sinica Business Brief, the 996 Podcast, Tech Buzz China, China EconTalk, the Middle Earth Podcast, the NuVoices Podcast, Ta for Ta, the China Marketing Podcast, You Can Learn Chinese, the China in Africa Podcast, the China Global South Podcast, Strangers in China, China Corner Office, and China Stories. It's a terrible pity that The China Project couldn't survive in this tough media environment, but I'm proud of what we did and I absolutely love the team. Such great people to work with! Now, in February 2024, I'm going forward with Sinica alone. Please consider supporting the work I do by subscribing at sinica.substack.com, or at patreon.com/sinica!
