Claim your profileI report on how the world transitions to clean energy. After covering the clean energy industry for five years at Greentech Media, my colleagues and I launched Canary Media, a nonprofit newsroom dedicated to daily independent coverage of the global shift away from fossil fuels. I publish in multiple formats at Canary Media, including news and analysis, newsletters, podcasts, and short videos. My writing has appeared in The Guardian, CityLab, The Atlantic, Al Jazeera America, Mother Jones and the Raleigh News & Observer. I am also an experienced public speaker and moderator of live conversations with executives and leaders from the clean energy sector, at forums including SXSW Eco, Energy Storage Summit, Solar Summit, Grid Edge World Forum, ACORE Finance West, Duke University, UC Berkeley and UCLA. I have appeared on the popular energy podcasts The Energy Gang, The Interchange, and more recently, The Carbon Copy. Previously, I reported for CityLab at The Atlantic in D.C. and conducted grant-funded climate change reporting in Bangladesh. I am currently based in L.A., a fossil fuel dependent city going through its own transition to carbon-free living.
