Claim your profileI am currently a national security reporter for The New York Times covering the intelligence agencies. For more than two decades I have covered national security matters for The Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Los Angeles Times and U.S. News and World Report. I have been based in Brussels, covering NATO and counterterrorism. I have been based at the Pentagon, covering the U.S. military. During the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, I did frequent embeds with the U.S. military. I am also serving as a nonresident fellow at Vanderbilt's Institute of National Security.
