With more than 20 years as an award-winning journalist, Joy has established a reputation of being a trusted source for information and well-written editorial content, as well as being a savvy interviewer who has talked with some of the world’s most famous faces. She's been the host of "The Joyful Hour" radio show and "The Joy Hour" digital talk show. As a community leader, she founded Year of Joy, a non-profit organization to empower children from Houston’s underserved communities and has galvanized sponsors and volunteers to support her mission. She has raised thousands of dollars and impacted more than 1,000 children through her efforts. She’s also a children’s book author and literacy advocate.
