I decided to do something a little different, so I saved up and moved to Japan. Since returning to the UK I have done an NCTJ Diploma in Journalism. During my studies, I have contributed to a daily paper The Argus, including covering the UK general election which was a crash course in writing to a deadline. I also gained experience using Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and web-based publishing systems. I am a keen Twitter user (@JoshuaJThurston) and understand how important social media is in driving traffic to a website.
