I also enjoyed a stint as a sports reporter covering the Philadelphia Eagles and NFL. I now cover Congress for Bloomberg Government, with a focus on the people driving the movement on Capitol Hill. Was a nationally recognized reporter with The Philadelphia Inquirer who helped lead political coverage in Pennsylvania, one of the country's most vital swing states. I covered nationally watched campaigns, including the 2020 and 2016 presidential elections, and marquee Senate and House races, juggling scoops and breaking news with analyses and profiles that put daily events into broader context. Won the National Press Club's Washington regional reporting award for my 2020 presidential coverage, anchored by my in-depth feature The Divided States of Pennsylvania. I won the 2015 David Lynch Prize for Regional Reporting for my work explaining rail safety delays, and was part of a team that won the Selden Ring Award for Investigative Reporting in 2004.
