I started my career in broadcast media as a 13-year-old volunteer for my hometown’s public access TV station. 20 years later… It’s a career that has taken me around the world and immersed into different communities. Big metropolitans. Inner cities. Suburbs. Small town America. It’s a career that has allowed me to meet people from all walks of life and share their stories with the world. To educate, inform and inspire. In hopes it leads to thought, reflection and, at times, action and change. It’s a career that has deepened my understanding of the people and cultures among us. The acceptance and unity craved by many in a seemingly divisive society. How everyone finds a way to survive and coexist, albeit in an imperfect system. It’s a career that is not for everyone, but it has been for me for the last 20 years. I’m Jonah Javad. I’m an 11x EMMY Award & 5x Murrow Award winning sports anchor and senior sports storyteller.
