An experienced and versatile print journalist who covers general and business news for web sites, wire services and newspapers. Areas of expertise include energy, environment, and economics. I have taught at college level, and written two travel books. Current clients include: -- The New York Times to which I contribute general news and features in the Philadelphia area. I also write regularly on the local commercial real estate market for the Business Day section; -- Market News International, a capital markets news service for which I write on business and economics; -- NJ Spotlight, an online news service covering energy, education, environment and other policy-related news in New Jersey. Areas of coverage include water quality, the effects of climate change, and aspects of recovery from Hurricane Sandy; -- DFM News, a web site linked to WDDE, the state's National Public Radio affiliate. My coverage has ranged from sea-level rise to the development of offshore wind power to conservation of the red knot, an endangered shore bird. In recent years, I have also written for AOL Energy, a web site covering the electricity industry and other energy-related fields, and Knowledge@Wharton, an online business journal published by the University of Pennsylvania's business school. From 2004 to 2011, I was the mid-Atlantic correspondent for Reuters.
