Claim your profileOne could say journalism is in my blood. Two months before my first day in middle school, I started my first sports blog. A month before my first college class, I created the recruiting beat for my student media outlet. I'm now the business reporter for The Gazette, covering everything from renewable energy to sports business in Cedar Rapids and Iowa City. A Marquette University alumnus, I started my position at The Gazette a week after turning in my last college assignment. I graduated with degrees in journalism, digital media and Spanish. While at Marquette, I wrote more than 400 stories while using photography and video to enhance storytelling. Interning in four newsrooms and spending five semesters in student media leadership, coverage varied from March Madness to the Molson Coors shooting.
