Prior to The Times, I was a Senior Crisis Advisor at Amnesty International, researching and reporting on arms and munitions worldwide. And before that I reported for Southern California Public Radio where I covered veterans and military Issues for the NPR member-station with the largest audience in America. In 2014 I freelanced at The Times, where I reported on chemical weapons in Iraq and on SEAL Team 6. For work on the latter, I received the George A. Polk Award for Military Reporting in 2016.
