On-air he hosts the DrinkBeer, Think Beer podcast, the the BYO Nano Podcast, and co-hosts Steal This Beer. His work has appeared in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, and NPR. He is the author of several books including The CraftBrewer Cookbook. In 2019, John was "enthroned" by the Knights of The Brewer's Fork of Belgium, descendants of the ancient brewer's guild.
