I tell Canadian stories, about people, places — life — and do my utmost to help make the newspaper (digital and old-school print) worth cracking into. I love my job. I have been doing it for 25 years. In a past life, I wrestled a graduate degree (history) to the mat at Queen's University. And I also hitchhiked around Central and South America, this at the time seeming like a great idea, in theory, but not such a good one in Colombia, where I was robbed at gunpoint on an overnight bus.
