Claim your profileI wrote about T. Boone Pickens' first takeover attempt more than 30 years ago, and haven't stopped writing about business since. I gained some additional business chops at Fortune (thank you, John Huey and Carol Loomis), and wrote for GQ and Esquire along the way. Ten years ago, I came to the New York Times to write a business column, and have since spent time on the Op-Ed page railing about guns, the NCAA, and why e-cigs can save lives -- as well as business. I now have a sports business column, and it's about the most fun a guy can have. In between all this columnizing, I write books: "A Piece of the Action: How the Middle Class Joined the Money Class," "Good Guys and Bad Guys" (a collection of magazine and newspaper articles) and "All the Devils Are Here: The Hidden History of the Financial Crisis" (co-written with the great Bethany McLean). My latest is "Indentured: The Inside Story of the Rebellion Against The NCAA" (co-authored with a remarkable young talent, Ben Strauss)
