Today, Jim writes about music, comedy, Hollywood and entertainment for both Forbes and the Chicago Sun-Times, where he's specialized in artist feature interviews and festival recaps since 2018 and 2024 respectively. For over 10 years, Jim has also written for publications like the Daily Herald newspaper, Tribune Company website ChicagoNow and more.Between October 2018 and June 2024, Jim worked as a Case Processing Analyst for the Department of Labor (working as a federal contractor via both HeiTech/TekPro Services), where his attention to detail, strong communication skills and desire to grow found him as one of the only employees capable of working on all four governmental visa application programs (LCA, H2A, H2B and CW-1) while ultimately being promoted to the Prevailing Wage Department in August 2021 (where he was recognized for "exceeding all metrics" in May 2024).
