As VP of Content at Medium, the leading platform for independent digital publishers, I oversaw five global titles, recruited high-profile contributors, and led audience growth initiative that moved a stagnant subscriber number closer to 1 million subs. At BET Digital, I overhauled BET.com, transforming it from a legacy television network website into a video-first, digital destination. I built out the video operations and revenue models to support its growth, increasing YouTube subscribers from 40K to 1M+, launching over two dozen original video series, and growing monthly unique visitors from 3M to 19M. Earlier, as Editor-in-Chief at VIBE, I revitalized the iconic brand into a leading digital-first publication, redefining its editorial strategy and expanding audience engagement. Currently, At LEVEL Man, I founded and built a community-driven media brand for Black men, driving 12 million annual pageviews and securing $570K in funding. I’ve also forged high-impact brand partnerships with Hennessy, Lionsgate, Toyota, Netflix, and Sony, creating innovative campaigns that drove engagement, expanded reach, and generated revenue.
