Jen Christensen is an award-winning journalist with more than 20 years experience in producing and reporting stories for television, digital, radio, newsletters, newspapers and podcasts. She is currently a Writer/Producer for the CNN Medical & Climate Unit, where she manages content, writes articles for digital and scripts for television, produces interactive projects, and shoots photos for stories that involve the pandemic, climate change, cancer, lung disease, heart problems, mental health, food policy, obesity, LGBTQ+ topics, medical innovations, gender issues, racial inequities, public health policy, and social justice. As a writer and producer, Jen has worked with the network's highest profile correspondents, reported on breaking news and medical studies, created documentaries, and completed data analysis projects. She has received the highest awards in journalism including the Peabody and DuPont awards, for producing God's Warriors with Christiane Amanpour. She is also the National Board Vice President for Broadcast with NLGJA: The Association of LGBTQ+ Journalists, where she has severed as a leader for more than 20 years and has advocated for better coverage and representation of the LGBTQ+ community in the media. Jen's mission is to inform, educate, and inspire audiences with compelling and credible journalism that covers the most important issues of our time.
