Savvy, detail-oriented Managing Editor and Writer with 25+ years of professional experience in the field of digital media — with an emphasis on web publishing, email newsletters, writing & editing, digital content management, and eCommerce operations.In July 2024, I wrapped up 12 years as the Managing Editor for MESA (Media and Entertainment Services Alliance). My primary role as Managing Editor was twofold:A) Oversee newsletter operations: write, curate, edit & publish 13 email newsletters each week across five, B2B verticals. B) Lead digital content production for MESA websites.In the ecosystem of digital media, I have a special fondness for email newsletters; I have been fortunate that the craft of producing newsletters has been a key part of my professional and personal life for almost 20 years.I love the interconnection of 'building' a newsletter: the research and curation, the writing and editing. And the testing... My goodness, the testing.It all leads up to that special moment when it's time to push Send. With one mouse click, it's gone... delivered into the digital world to email inboxes near and far.There's a special responsibility in being the final stop on the web publishing workflow. Walter White was famously known as "...the one who knocks." I'm more of 'the one who pushes the button.'I wouldn't exactly compare my newsletter duties to that of a Launch Director at NASA, but in the world of digital media, I have my own version of "Go/No Go" before I am confident a newsletter is ready for publishing.It's a million miles between launching brave astronauts into space and sending emails filled with links and articles, but .... I like to think I'm just as dedicated, just as aware of the responsibility.When not at work, you can find me spending time with family.... at the beach .... on the tennis court .... listening to music .... reading .... working on newsletter projects .... taking a walk.Here's one thing about me: I have a bad/fun habit of buying books and not reading them in a timely manner. I like how they look on nightstands and bookshelves around the house. I stare at the books, making a mental schedule of which ones I will get to first. I shall read them all!
