Private sector Meteorologist with previous experience in the television news industry. Worked 1.5 years in the Gulfport/Biloxi market with a year of that prior to graduating from Mississippi State University. Experience with forecasting in a coastal environment with convective scenarios. Also led the implementation of the Baron Lynx software at WXXV-TV. Currently employed with a private aviation service provider with duties encompassing weather and flight following. Forecasting duties include departure, enroute, and arrival conditions for private aviation clients. Additional weather support beyond standard flight packages is always provided when requested by clients. Beyond day-to-day duties, our weather team has a procedure in place to notify clients of inclement weather events at their home base or for an upcoming trip. I typically take the lead on shift to complete those tasks.I also assist operations and flight planning staff with decisions as needed. Due to my shift being more junior in experience among meteorologists, I have an informal mentoring/training role for other members of the weather team.Private Pilot with Instrument Rating effective 08/2020.
