Janet Lorin covers money in higher education at Bloomberg News. She frequently appears on Bloomberg Radio and TV and contributes to Bloomberg Businessweek and Bloomberg Markets magazines. Janet also writes about how universities invest their endowments, college admissions, financial aid and student debt. She has covered the nonprofit testing industry, university presidents who sit on corporate boards and the impact of economic downturns on university finances. Janet and a Bloomberg colleague won the George Polk award for national reporting for a year-long series about student debt in 2012. She previously ran the Newark bureau for AP and worked as a reporter for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and the Akron Beacon Journal.
