I was previously a senior reporter for MailOnline and, before that, a court and crime reporter for Southampton-based Newsquest title the Southern Daily Echo. I also held the roles of digital editor, senior reporter and council reporter during my time at the Echo. I moved to the Daily Echo in 2017 from fellow Newsquest title, the Andover Advertiser, where I started my professional journalism career, before becoming a senior journalist and interim news editor. Before this I voluntarily submitted articles to Johnston Press title, the Chichester Observer. This included work published on a weekly basis and several back-page leads. I studied Politics and Journalism at De Montfort University in Leicester (2010-2013) and was a founding member of the University American Football team which was set up in 2011/12. I passed my NQJ Senior Journalism qualifications in July 2016, on my first attempt, and obtained an 87% mark in my Media Law paper. In May 2016 I was asked to complete a shift as a reporter for the national daily title, the Daily Express, which I did for a year. I have a great passion for journalism and hope to have a long and distinguished career in the industry.
