Claim your profileJames Queally is a journalist and crime fiction author who currently covers Los Angeles County's criminal courts and district attorney's office for the Los Angeles Times. James was part of the Times' Metro Staff that won the 2015 Pulitzer Prize for Breaking News as part of the team that covered the San Bernardino terror attacks. His reporting has also won awards from the Los Angeles Press Club, the California News Publishers Association and the New Jersey Society of Professional Journalists. He is also the author of the Russell Avery novels from Polis Books, which have received starred reviews from Publishers Weekly and praise from best selling authors Michael Connelly and S.A. Cosby. He previously covered the Newark Police Department at The Star-Ledger in New Jersey from 2009 to 2014.
