Discovery. * On BI's investing team, I spoke with top fund managers, leading strategists and economists, and housing-bubble-predicting real-estate analysts. * I graduated from James Madison University with a major in Media Arts & Design (Journalism concentration) and minors in economics and Honors interdisciplinary studies with an area of emphasis in leadership. * At JMU, I was the founding editor of the Madison Business Review, a student-led business publication. Before that, I was a reporter and copy editor at The Breeze, JMU's award-winning student newspaper. * In college, I freelanced for several professional news organizations, including local business sites like Richmond BizSense and BusinessDen, Times Community News, and The Guardian via a project called Lost on the Frontline that was done in conjunction with Kaiser Health News. * I'm an alumnus of the Dow Jones News Fund's Business Reporting program, which is how I got placed at Richmond BizSense and BusinessDen in the summer of 2020. * I was an analyst for the Madison Investment Fund, a student-run fund overseeing hundreds of thousands of dollars in assets. * I was an editorial intern at C-Suite Quarterly in Los Angeles in the summer of 2019. * I was also an award-winning sales representative and an assistant manager at Vector Marketing.
