I am writing an article on how to handle security deposits with Airbnb and I'd like to get your first hand insights and experiences. In return, I can offer a link to 1) Your direct booking site 2) Your listing page or 3) A business page explicitly linked to the STR industry. In particular, the article is interested in how you manage with the current system where Airbnb manages security deposits through AirCover / API-connected hosts. Here are the questions. Please answer as many or as few as you like: 1) What advice would you give to a host filing their first AirCover claim? 2) How did you decide on the amount for your security deposit? 3) Do you feel your deposit amount has an effect on the number of bookings?
