Claim your profileMy name is Iris Pase and I am an Italian multimedia journalist based in Glasgow, Scotland. As a freelance journalist, I’ve written news stories, op-eds, and features which primarily cover women’s rights, sexuality, inequalities, and mental health. My work has appeared on VICE, The Independent, Engender, The Local, HUCK Magazine, (former) Newsmavens, Culture Trip, and The Plum Guide – among others. In the past few months, I've also joined BBC The Social‘s team as a freelance contributor and I’m devising a podcast in collaboration with YWCA Scotland after being their Blog Editor for more than a year. As part of my volunteer experience with YWCA Scotland, I’ve also created Femtorial. A weekly Instagram appointment whose aim is to make feminism accessible and easy to understand, Femtorial has created a wide community of young womxn and a safe space where they can share their experiences. In addition to my journalism experience, I’ve also worked as a freelance translator for VICE. My main task has been translating VICE articles from Italian to English.
