Claim your profileAs a nifty journalist working on a B.A. in Journalism & Mass Communication from The George Washington University, I’ve honed my skill through a blend of editorial leadership, investigative reporting and business journalism. With a hardy newsroom experience, I thrive in fast-paced environments that demands accurate and compelling reporting. I graduate in May and am seeking career opportunities in journalism and business reporting. Currently, I serve as managing editor at The GW Hatchet, where I help oversee a talented team of over 50. I mentor junior reporters, devise reporting strategies and manage the overall work flow across multiple sections — news, culture, sports, opinion and multimedia. My prior experience on The Hatchet includes serving as the administration & finance editor for two volumes, where I produced in-depth stories on university operations, including administrative transitions and staff turnover, amassing nearly 100 bylines. This past summer, I worked as a summer reporter for Richmond BizSense under the prestigious Dow Jones News Fund program. I covered business expansions and mergers and acquisitions, developing a knack for financial document analysis and nonprofit news.I’ve also contributed freelance work to publications such as the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and Ms. Magazine, covering social issues from homelessness to immigration reform.Beyond the newsroom, I’m on my fourth season of dancing on GW's official dance team, The First Ladies, tasked with hyping up the crowd at NCAA D1 basketball games.
