Editor and writer on environment and built environment for over 40 years. Ran a publications and conference company for 14 years. Edited titles on engineering, graphics, interiors, energy policy, climate change, environmental technology, brownfield development, remediation and sustainable building. Written on water issues, air quality, mining, contaminated land, planning, regeneration, renewables and retrofit.Written for The Guardian, interviewed by BBC several times. Wrote a guide for Friends of The Earth, researched reports for quangos and produced documents for government departments. Developed and helped develop content for over 120 conferences/events on environmental and built environment issues. Latterly also director of a community energy company along with a social value organisation and project managing local greening projects.
