Claim your profileI’m a Calgary-based business journalist at The Canadian Press. I report on all aspects of the energy industry, covering anything from shale gas developments to pipeline leaks to wind turbines. I also keep a close eye on other Western Canadian business sectors like agriculture, real estate, the tech sector, and anything else that makes for a good story. Previously I freelanced internationally for outlets like The Guardian, The Toronto Star, MSNBC, Fusion, Roads and Kingdoms, producing multimedia pieces from places like the Galapagos Islands, Nepal, Bangladesh, and Papua New Guinea. Before that I worked for a weekly business newspaper focused on the mining industry, where my reporting took me to five continents. While studying journalism at the University of British Columbia I was part of a team that produced the Emmy-winning documentary Ghana: Digital Dumping Ground.
