She helped launch a one hour newscast at 11am in 2015 that often beats out long-time mainstays 'The Price is Right' and 'The View'. Davis has experience as a traffic anchor, training producers/reporters on graphic design. She has grown the stations social media traffic presence exponentially, making it the number one traffic go-to source in the market.Davis began her career in Abilene, Texas as a weekend reporter in 2004 before quickly being promoted to an anchor role. She also doubled as a producer. Her specialty was education and Homeland Security (with a focus on immigration and trafficking). In 2006, she began an eight year stent at WDBJ in Roanoke, Virginia. The anchor/reporter was one of the first on scene to cover the Virginia Tech shootings in 2007. She was recognized with multiple civic awards for stories that exposed racial disparities in the community. Davis also hosted a 1-hour political show during election cycles. She has interviewed high profile leaders and covered inaugurations from notables: Former President Barack Obama, Former Virginia Governors Tim Kaine and Mark Warner.Davis' more recent assignments include spearheading coverage of the 2017 Parkland School Shooting and the 2020 Presidential Election.Davis is a graduate of the Scripps Howard School of Journalism at Hampton University.
