I am a freelance editor, writer, copy writer, presenter, press officer, and media trainer, with wide and varied experience in many fields. As well as my freelance journalism, I carry out tailored press officer roles for companies that want to get known in the press. For this I aid businesses in increasing brand awareness and messaging, through using my bespoke media service powered by a working editor and journalist with the insider knowledge needed to get a company seen by the right people, in the right way. I have been involved in telecoms journalism since 2001, specialising in mobile as a freelance writer and editor since 2002. I now concentrate on the areas of sports broadcast, broadcast and mobile tech, although I write about anything from the IoT and wearable tech, to turtles to martial arts, to electronic foreign exchange trading. I am also available as a presenter for events and film.I founded and am editor of mobile news website, Smart Chimps, and am editor at SVG Europe and internal head of SVG Europe Women, an initiative to support and inspire women working in sports broadcast. I also taking on freelance projects and ongoing work under retainer. When I'm not working, I spend my spare time training and teaching at my kungfu club, Southern Crane Kungfu, with which I go to China each year to train with my kungfu Masters in Yong Tai Tiger Boxing and Fujian Calling Crane. I also train in Malaysian and Indonesian penkak silat at Silat Scathach.As well as working occasionally as a screen fighter on feature films, I work with Fearful Symmetry Productions on various roles in film production and am currently writing a feature film script.
