Previously I was a senior writer at WIRED and online news editor for Science. I have a Ph.D. in neuroscience and have written extensively about biological, behavioral and biomedical research. I also co-wrote a big, beautiful book of stories about maps: All Over the Map (National Geographic, 2018).
