Claim your profileIf you want to learn history, you have to live it firsthand. As a nonfiction writer, I am passionate about setting and description. History should be more than just names and dates and explanations. It should come alive on the page while retaining all the historical accuracy of a well-documented textbook. History, no matter what the subject, is about people, and the subjects within a historical piece should be treated like people, rather than the events in which they participated. History doesn't make people; people make history. Writing properly is important. Writing to be readable is imperative. There is a personal relationship between the writer and the reader, and in order for the relationship to flourish, the writer has to produce readable content. In writing historical pieces, not only must the historian be accurate, he or she must also, again, be readable. My object is to obtain a position which I can demonstrate my skills as a writer, analytical, research and English language skills to increase the profitability of a company.
