Claim your profileOklahoman with more than 30 years in writing, editing, managing and communications. At the Tulsa World, I have spent most of my career writing about social justice, equity, education and health issues around children, youth and families. A columnist since 2012, I moved to the Opinion section in February 2018 as writer and now hold the position of editorial pages editor. I graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a bachelor's degree in journalism and a master's degree in public administration. Freelance work includes ongoing contributions to the University of Oklahoma's Sooner Magazine and the 2017 publication of "Healing in the Heartland," a history of Tulsa County medicine by Birmingham, Alabama-based Legacy Publishing Co.For 15 years, I managed the Tulsa World's summer intern program and served as a projects editor for about four years. Community involvement is important with service to boards including Meals on Wheels, University of Oklahoma's Student Publications Board, Amplify, Edison Preparatory School Foundation, Lanier Elementary and the Tulsa Area Alumnae Panhellenic.
