George is a experienced journalist with a demonstrated history of skills in news writing, research skills, video, photo and audio production, web design and social media marketing.He is a strong, up-and-coming news media and communications professional with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Ohio University focused in News and Information and Political Science with a minor in Political Science.George is a spot news reporter at WOSU Public Media in Columbus, Ohio. He reports on the news of the day and occasionally produces features. His work goes over the airwaves and online on the WOSU website. He occasionally fills in as a host on All Things Considered. Through WOSU he is also developing his skills as a photojournalist and a social media content producer. His work is occasionally featured on All Sides, the daily talk show of WOSU. He also gets his work featured regularly statewide to Ohio NPR affiliates with occasional stories making it national to NPR. George was previously a local government reporter at Gannett and the USA Today Network with the Iowa City Press-Citizen. He previously worked for the Des Moines Register covering the southern suburbs of the city. He is also a former Intern at The Columbus Dispatch and the Athens Messenger and Reporter/Podcast Producer and Host for The Post (Ohio University). He also dabbled as a student leader and was actively involved around campus in student media and musical ensembles.
