Prior to joining NBR at the start of 2017 I was the sole Auckland reporter for business wire agency, BusinessDesk and before that I was head of business news for Fairfax NZ (now known as Stuff).My journalism career began with the 1980 Springbok Tour and has encompassed radio, newspapers, magazines and the web.The awards I've won during the past 37 years include the prestigious Westpac financial journalism award and Editor of the Year for business publications several times in the Magazine Publishers Association annual awards.I'm an experienced business commentator and facilitator of business forums. Former roles include editor of The Independent, editor of Unlimited magazine.
