Claim your profileI'm a food journalist, author, and cookbook collaborator, as well as the current Editor in Chief at The Local Palate magazine. I have 20+ years of print and digital writing and editing experience, with an emphasis on food features, local dining culture, people profiles, and travel. I've authored two food-focused non-fiction narratives, one about oysters, and another about grits. I've also edited multiple cookbooks and co-authored two, including "The Row 34 Cookbook," with chef Jeremy Sewall. My writing has appeared in publications like Modern Farmer, the Boston Globe, TheAtlantic.com, The Local Palate, and many others, and I won the LDEI MFK Fisher Award for Excellence in Culinary Writing for an essay titled "Sense of Self." I've worked on staff at publications including Martha Stewart's Weddings, Boston Magazine, Daily Candy, and Nashville Lifestyles. I'm also a co-founder of Dirty Pages, a recipe and storytelling project. In my work life, I tend to be a hyper organized multi-tasker, a keen editor and copy editor, and a motivated researcher.
