Hi! I’m Elliot, a journalist with experience across print, online, and broadcast. I’m passionate about all things: Local news Politics Lifestyle Social media Podcasting SEO After an eight year career in financial services, I trained at the University of Essex and started my career as a journalist working at BBC Essex on a freelance basis. My first staff job in the industry was at Newsquest where I reported on all things Essex, mostly for the Colchester Gazette and Southend Echo. In June 2024, I jumped back into freelancing starting with shifts at BBC News in the east of England, before joining the BBC as staff five months later. I've covered elections and interviewed a prime minister, MPs, shadow cabinet ministers, and councillors.
