I'm a journalist for a weekly newspaper in the Lake Minnetonka area...and I LOVE it. Long story short is that I'm paid to attend sled dog races and visit Marine Corps. recruiting stations. And witness huge vats of maple syrup thickening. And learn about cougars, rocket propulsion, wakesurfing, body art and one man's feud with the Walker Art Center. Short story a bit longer (and with more CV-speak) is... I've scaled national and state events to the local level. I've recorded from multiple perspectives how COVID-19 has affected the cities I cover. I've had opportunity to write data-driven features in the areas of public safety and business. I've gotten to do larger, in-depth projects, including a multi-part feature on the clean up of an old missile site and a series of articles leading up to the Excelsior, Minn. Klondike Dog Derby.
