Claim your profileI have covered the health care industry in Oregon for the Portland Business Journal since June 2013. My stories appear both in our weekly print edition and online. I started covering law firms and legal issues in January 2022. I write about everything from the health insurance industry to hospitals to Coordinated Care Organizations to biotech startups to the medical research being conducted in Oregon. I have 20 years of experience as a journalist. I've also taught freshman English, reporting and media law. I was born and raised in Southern California, but have lived all over the country.
