Claim your profileI wear a lot of hats! (Figuratively speaking, that is.) The long and short of it is that I am a storyteller. As a journalist, I write primarily about agriculture and the environment, which includes plenty about food, drinks, culture, and travel, too. I’ve also written (and almost finished editing!) a novel, which is set on a farm. I review cookbooks and develop recipes and occasionally lecture on Italian culinary traditions – in particular, I’m your gal for all things risotto. I am currently exploring storytelling in another medium as the producer of a documentary about rare olive trees in southern Italy. I am a native English speaker and fluent in Italian. I have a deep personal connection to Italy that is rooted in my family’s Calabrian heritage and that I have cultivated over the last decade living in Italy and traveling through all of its twenty regions. I’ve also traveled through twenty-six countries, mostly on my own, which has led me to travel planning for others from time to time, in addition to advising on sustainability practices. It’s a wild existence, but I love what I do and am always open to new opportunities to collaborate!
