Claim your profileDuncan Riley is a writer, publisher, speaker and blogging evangelist. Duncan has a diverse background, having started in merchant banking in Sydney in the mid 1990s followed by stints in management and a staffer in charge of marketing and communications to members of both State and Federal Australian members of parliament. At some point thereafter, while still writing spin for politicians, Duncan discovered blogging in 2002. While having written sites as early as 1995, Duncan founded The Blog Herald in 2003 which went on to become a major site at the time. Top 100 blog worldwide at the time. In 2005 he co-founded the b5media blog network, a company that took $15 million in U.S. in venture capital funding Having left b5media, Duncan went on to spend 12 months writing for the tech blog TechCrunch much to his own bad mental health. In May 2008, he founded The Inquisitr before selling it 3 years later; the site is now just outside the top 1,000 sites by traffic worldwide. After selling the site, Duncan pursued multiple interests before landing a position as a Senior Writer at long-established hard tech site SiliconANGLE in 2014. He remains there today.
