I am a writer, editor and researcher with more than 20 years of experience working for weekly and daily newspapers, magazines and book publishers. My diverse career path has led me from copy editing mountain bike and motocross magazines in Southern California to supervising a high-energy, fast-paced newsroom in Myanmar staffed by reporters and editors from Southeast Asia, the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia. Back in the United States since 2017, I have been working as an editor at daily and weekly newspapers in regions as diverse as Alaska and Arizona. As a writer, I focus primarily on lifestyle, culture, social issues, and travel.
