As an editor and podcast/video producer at Nikkei Asia, I combine my passion for journalism, media and Japan to deliver engaging and informative content for a global audience. I joined the Nikkei Asia newsroom in 2024 after three years at The Japan Times working in a similar capacity. I have a diverse background of experiences and skills that enable me to contribute to various in-house needs of any newsroom. I hold a BA in Communication and Media Studies from Temple University Japan and a certificate in upper-intermediate Japanese language from Kudan Institute. I also have an AA degree in Music Performance from Musicians Institute, which allowed me to being audio production into my journalistic skill set. I enjoy learning new tools and techniques for my storytelling, such as Adobe Premiere Pro and general video production, to enhance my multimedia journalism abilities. My goal is to create impactful stories that connect with people and inspire positive change in the world.
