Claim your profileDavid is an award-winning anchor and reporter at KMOV-TV in St. Louis, Missouri. He is thrilled to be serving his hometown. He strives to find enterprise stories to lead the station’s 10PM newscast with an engaging live presence. Previously, David was an anchor and MMJ at KGAN CBS 2/ FOX 28 in Cedar Rapids Iowa. He moved to eastern Iowa in May 2020 in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. He spent the past five and a half years at KHQA CBS/ABC in Quincy Illinois. He was the station's evening anchor the past four years. He simultaneously reported for the station. David has a passion for telling stories that impact viewers. He builds genuine relationships with those he meets and is an advocate for his community. David has an outgoing personality and a passion for working with others. He is enthusiastic about learning from practical experience and motivated to see his talents grow. He has a strong work ethic. He is driven, empathetic, and a problem-solver. David is an Edward R. Murrow recipient for his in-depth piece, "When Kids Find Guns." David's reporting has also garnered first place wins in Illinois and Iowa for hard news, sports, and feature reporting. He also earned an Emmy nomination in 2019 for his story, "25 Years Later, The Flood of '93." He adapts to change quickly and enjoys working on a team. Working weekends in a small market was a great opportunity for David to learn how to maximize limited resources to cover breaking stories and winning on-air and online. David earned a BA in Mass Communications: Emphasis in Radio and Television from Lindenwood University which focuses on communication skills for broadcast television and radio in both news and sports.
