Claim your profileDarreonna Davis is a multimedia storyteller who currently works as a breaking news reporter for The Baltimore Banner.Davis previously worked as a Frances Ellen Watkins Harper reporting fellow for The 19th News and an explainers and trends reporter for Forbes Media, whose news team she interned for as an HBCU Scholar and Emma Bowen Foundation (EBF) Fellow in 2022.Other internships and fellowships Davis participated in include Howard University News Service’s inaugural class of reporting fellows for Inside Climate News, a production internship for CNN’s “The Lead with Jake Tapper” in the Washington, D.C., bureau, a production internship with CNBC’s Specials Unit and an associate interviews producer role for The Creative Process podcast. She was also a member of the inaugural cohort of Dow Jones and Columbia Journalism School's HBCU Media Collective.Davis received her Bachelor’s of Arts in Media, Journalism and Film Communications with a concentration in Journalism from the #1 producer of Black journalism and communications professionals, Howard University’s Cathy Hughes School of Communications, in May 2023.While at Howard, Davis developed her leadership and project management skills as a student leader. In her senior year alone, she served as the managing editor for 101 Magazine, the news and politics editor for The Hilltop and the second vice president of the Delta Phi Chapter of Iota Phi Lambda, Sorority, Inc.Davis is a skilled reporter and editor with an interest in reporting on race and ethnicity, climate and environmental justice and business, labor and economy and exploring the multimedia realms of video, podcasting and newsletter development.
