Claim your profileI'm very passionate about everything video games. I have 20 years of experience in the video game industry as a freelance journalist, with seven years in community and social media management. As the Community Coordinator for Gamers Outreach, I keep the foundation's current and future supporters informed about all relevant happenings of the organization on various platforms including newsletters, blogs, and social channels. I produce most of the foundation's public copy and assist marketing at trade shows and conventions. Prior to this, I spent seven years as a Community Manager with Electronic Arts, where I worked on the MLB Tap Sports Baseball franchise successfully launching eight games in the series. I also launched WWE Universe. As the acting Head of Content of SmashPad.com, I run all the site's content and am the site's point person for augmenting the staff in addition to handling public relations. I’ve covered large-scale events including but not limited to Summer Game Fest, San Diego Comic-Con, and Anime Expo. I’m not paid to do this, as it’s simply a passion project for myself and the entire staff that we use to boost our portfolios. I'm also passionate about volunteering in the Filipino-American community. Prior to finding my way into the gaming industry professionally, I was a marketing coordinator with Ayala Land, where I trained U.S. real estate agents to properly market and sell international business and residential properties. I also served as the President of Akbayan, San Jose State University's premier Filipino-American organization, where I proudly presided in bringing home the organization's first "Student Organization of the Year" award in 2011. I now serve as the Director of Professional Development for the Filipino Alumni Network of SJSU. While I specialize in community management, I’m also available for any freelance writing opportunities, advisory roles, guest speaking, and hosting panels in the gaming and nerd industry and am also open to contract, part-, and full-time opportunities with AAA/indie gaming teams particularly in marketing, communications and/or production in the console gaming space. Follow me if you enjoy engaging with my content. I'm also happy to connect with anybody I've had a conversation with or briefly met at any sort of event.
