Claim your profileDaniel Taub is a New York-based finance editor at Bloomberg News, where he works with reporters covering U.S. and Canadian banks, securities firms and insurers, along with trends in trading, investment banking, lending, insurance and wealth and asset management.Taub joined Bloomberg as a reporter in 1999, and his stories have been published in Bloomberg Businessweek, Bloomberg Markets and newspapers including the New York Times, Chicago Tribune, Los Angeles Times and Washington Post. He became an editor in 2010 and was real estate team leader for more than two years, managing 13 reporters and editors in the U.S. and Canada. He previously worked at the Los Angeles Business Journal, Antelope Valley Press and Los Angeles Daily News.Taub has received awards from the Society for Advancing Business Editing and Writing (SABEW), National Association of Real Estate Editors (NAREE) and Los Angeles Press Club, and was a finalist in the public interest category of the 2008 National Magazine Awards. He has taught at the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, is a NAREE past president and contributed to the book "The Billy Bob Tapes: A Cave Full of Ghosts" (HarperCollins, 2012). Taub has a bachelor's degree in journalism and master of arts in humanities from California State University, Northridge.
