I have a Master’s Degree in Professional Writing & Communication and over 10 years of experience working with various organizations and industries. My expertise lies in journalism, copywriting, public relations, document design, web communications, grant writing, and sustainable development. I'm currently a News and Features Reporter for the Taunton Daily Gazette.I spent 5 years working in Higher Education at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. I resided with the University’s Sustainability Office where I performed public relations and outreach, general copywriting and document design, web content generation, research, social media marketing, and grant writing. I spent a year as a copywriter and media consultant for New Bedford Housing Authority; during this time I promoted all the positive initiatives going on in affordable public housing to residents, the public, and government officials. I produced monthly and quarterly newsletters, ghostwrote copy for use in a government report and NBHA’s website, and created a 75th Year commemorative 20-page document detailing its history and accomplishments. The last few years were dedicated to analyst and inspector roles in the energy efficiency and insulation industries. As a Residential Energy Analyst I tested mechanical systems for proper levels of efficiency and safety, analyzed insulation and ventilation levels throughout primary areas of homes, identified sources of air leakage, prescribed solutions for air leakage and energy loss, compiled all relevant data using sophisticated energy modeling software to create accurate and helpful assessment reports, and coordinated weatherization projects with clients and insulation companies.
