Claim your profileI am a compassionate, analytical, and insatiably curious editor and producer with nearly a decade of experience in journalism. Before becoming an editor at NPR's Morning Edition and Up First podcast, I spent nearly seven years in Istanbul, Turkey, reporting out breaking news, news features, and long-term feature stories for radio, print, and online outlets including NPR, The New York Times, Al Jazeera, and elsewhere. I also moonlighted as a consultant in communications and operational support on projects focused on high social impact. I'm passionate about building communities, nurturing healthy relationships, instilling empathy and compassion, and the world of food and cooking. I recently completed my yoga teacher training and give lessons online or in the park.
