Two time Polk Award winner for uncovering financial abuses in Arizona's charter school industry and the improper firing of state employees, which resulted in dozens of women and minorities getting their jobs back. Investigation into regulatory problems in state public pension system changed laws in Arizona and garnered national awards, including the Toner Prize for Excellence in Political Reporting and the Barlett and Steele Award for Investigative Business Journalism.
